Dr Stuart Lake has over 38 years’ experience in the global energy sector, holding senior roles at Shell (19 years), Apache Corporation (4 years) and Hess Corporation (4.5 years). He recently served as CEO of three companies and is currently President of Durrant Petroleum LLC, an E&P advisory firm. Dr Lake is recognized as a proven oil finder, achieving an 85% geological success rate across more than 300 wells drilled in 11 countries. As Vice President of Exploration at Hess, he led the Ghana exploration campaign that delivered seven discoveries. He has contributed to over 30 discoveries in Russia and multiple successful asset transactions across Africa and internationally.
