Staatsolie is Suriname’s national oil company and the sole holder of hydrocarbon concession rights in the country. Staatsolie is responsible for promoting acreage, attracting investments, and concluding and managing petroleum agreements for oil and gas exploration, development, and production with third parties. Staatsolie is also active across the entire energy value chain in Suriname, including hydrocarbon exploration, production, refining, marketing, and electricity generation.
